Presented by Shafraaz Kaba, *ASK for a Better World, this IPD Essentials seminar will provide a background on the lack of productivity in design and construction and demonstrate how an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) approach can minimize the adversarial nature of the built environment industry. IPD develops a strong culture of collaboration to achieve results that typically meet and usually exceed a clients’ expectations. Key tools for IPD will be introduced with case studies demonstrating how it has unlocked innovation.

This seminar will focus on recognizing the factors that can increase productivity in the built environment; Understanding the need for team culture building and reinforcement for integrated teams that include designers, consultants, trades and contractor; and explore the various key tools and techniques for successful IPD projects such as Target Value Design, Pull Planning and Decision Matrices.
