As of May 2019, the City of Calgary has a new system for bidding on jobs. The non-binding Request for Quotes (RFQ) for construction projects is an alternative to the traditional tender process. With this new system, the Owner can continue to leverage the advantages of the traditional tender process such as quick evaluation on price and efficient process on detailed specifications, and reduce the compliance issues associated with the Contract A process.  To learn more about this new system, CAA/CEA members can attend the  upcoming Q&A session on October 28. No refreshments will be served, but there are 2 café’s in the library for a pre/post session kick-start.
